Pope Francis on Family: Family is a factory of hope

Pope Francis at Philadelphia, 2015, World family meet festival "Families have a citizenship which is divine. The identity card they have is given to them by God.  So that within the heart of the family, truth, goodness and beauty may truly grow." So great was his love. That he began to walk with humanity, with his people, until the right moment came and he made the highest expression of love: his own son. And where did he send his son? To a palace? A city? No he sent him to a family. God sent him amid a family, in a family! And he could do this because it was a family that had a truly open heart. The doors of their heart were open. Think of Mary – she couldn’t believe it! How can this happen. But when they explained it to her … she agreed. Think of Joseph – he finds himself in a surprising situation he doesn’t understand, and he accepts, he obeys. You know what God loves most? To knock on the door of families and to find the families who love each other – fam

It is still widely used after receiving the body and blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ in Holy Communion . Soul of Christ, sanctify me Body of Christ, save me Blood of Christ, inebriate me Water from Christ's side, wash me Passion of Christ, strengthen me O good Jesus, hear me Within Thy wounds hide me Suffer me not to be separated from Thee From the malicious enemy defend me In the hour of my death call me And bid me come unto Thee That I may praise Thee with Thy saints  and with Thy angels Forever and ever Amen

I congratulate the Arch Bishop of Philadelphia, Philadelphia’s Archbishop Charles J. Chaput who has made  a great contribution and statement in the support of God created marriage and family, through organizing the Papal events at Philadelphia. What a great american way of defending the truth, faith, and families. I wish and pray that many more Bishops like him would rise to defend the structure, function, and sanctity of families, which is the primary function of the Church, to defend and salvage families, as son of God came to redeem the families and all creations.

Mission of Mother Church: Church is a missionary

I had a profound understanding/ conviction and deeper appreciation to the following concept, as I was teaching chapter 3 of Church and sacraments for 7th grade yesterday( PRE class), which happened to be a catechist Sunday. Catechists of our parish received special blessing during the Mass.  The chapter 3 covers the concept of church as a missionary in detail. It elaborates on St. Pauls conversion and his missionary trips and teachings focusing on Mathew 28: 18-20.  "18  And Jesus came and said to them,  h “All authority  i in heaven and on earth has been given to me.   19  j Go therefore and  k make disciples of  l all nations,  j baptizing them  m in 2   n the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,   20  teaching them o to observe all that  p I have commanded you. And behold,  q I am with you always, to  r the end of the age.” Mathew 28: 18 - 20 My heart dwells/rests in the above concept and contemplates the power packed message within  above versus
