Christmas Journey: Shepherds

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men ...
We are shepherds
Shepherds of Bethlehem
We saw a strange shining  star
In a silent starry night
We wondered about it
As we wandered with the herd.

We saw the blood moon
Wonder in the sky
We were puzzled with awe
What it could bring.

We saw the angels decent on earth
From the sky above
We were filled with fear, wonder, awe, and joy
As they spoke to us
Fear not! The savior is born!
And they sang with joy, peace, and glory
Glory to God in the Highest!
Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
We joined Angels Chorus
Singing Gloria in Excelsis Deo
We gathered the sheep and Journeyed  with Angels
To see the baby of Bethlehem
The wonder child, the prince of peace, the king of kings
And Lord of Lords
In a manger.

Rev. Fr. Constantine Joseph Beschi, Jesuit Missionary, was responsible for evangelization of simple people to kings of his time; in my mind he was the first one to bring systematic catechist training to India; he built many churches in India with the help of revelation and visions guided prayers and conversion of kings of Tamil Nadu of his time. There are many recorded healings and extraordinary gifts showered upon people at his intercession, while he was in this world; today multitudes go to the churches and shrines he built and follow Jesus and bestow Mother Mary intercessory blessings. Thus he continues his missionary work even today. Last year, I made a trip to many of the churches and shrine he built and associated with. I have been reflecting on his life through some of his writings and testament artifacts. This year I made a trip again in the same route.
