St. Louis Catholic Church Rededication: A Heavenly Gateway
Auspicious day it was;
When I heard the joyful news;
Heavenly joyful day it was;
When I learned the heavenly event;
Dedication of St. Louis Catholic Church;
Rededication in heavenly joy;
I went into Lord’s house;
In thankful heart of praise;
How would I describe the glory of that day?
How would I depict the majesty of that delight?
How would I relate the mystery of heavenly bliss?
How would I write the picture of the heavenly altar?
I would join the chant from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses;
I would join the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church;
In synchrony of one voice – and
I declare God is good
All the time!
All the Time,
God is good!
This place is nothing but
The gateway to Heaven!
Gateway to heaven? Amazing gateway it is; Awesome bright stein class panels; Rise up to reach the sky; Shining lights all around; Set the serine stage to ponder; Colorful floral decorative panels; Adorn the background of holy sanctuary; Make me to wonder; At the gateway to Heaven; Speechless quietitude encircles; At the site of the sanctuary; As I have no words to describe; I would echo the declaration from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses; I would echo the declaration from the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church; In synchrony of one voice – and I declare God is good; All the time! All the Time, God is good! This place is nothing but The gateway to Heaven!
Tall silvery classic arches; Stand in majesty on four columns; Reminds me the arc of covenant; Relates to me the faithful protection of heavenly Father; Reveals to me the mystical presence of holy Trinity; Ever faithful covenant of Father; Artfully crafted; Skillfully made; Spiritually seated; I knew not the material make; I know not the craftsman details- but I know the sacredness it reveals; In millions of unspoken testimonies - it Draws sacred reverence at the site I kneel to pray; With the quiet heart; As I have no words to describe the majesty of this heavenly sanctuary; Let me join the proclamation from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses; Let me join the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church; In synchrony of one voice – and I declare God is good; All the time! All the Time, God is good! This place is nothing but The gateway to Heaven!
There in silence, In the prayerful moment; I raise my eyes towards the arches; My sight captures the scene of the Calvary; Where Mary the Mother of God on right; St. John the Apostle on the left; Jesus Christ on the Crucifix; The moment the Lord gave the mother to the Church; The moment the arc of the covenant, Mary; Who carried the word of God, Now begins to carry the church in her immaculate womb; The Mother God, Becomes the Mother of the Church; Highly mystical scene it is; Heavenly mystery it reveals; Proclaims the presence of Holy Trinity; In the presence of Church sanctuary; When I contemplate this; I am helpless but to wonder; Left with no word to express the awe of Father’s presence; As I have no words to describe the majesty of this heavenly sanctuary; Let me join the proclamation from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses; Let me join the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church; In synchrony of one voice – and I declare God is good All the time! All the Time, God is good! This place is nothing but The gateway to Heaven!
Now I settle to pray; Looking at the Altar; There at the center; I am struck with joyful awe; At the golden tabernacle; Solomon’s would have envied; at the shining of this tabernacle; At the site of this tabernacle; King David would have rejoiced and danced; In front of this tabernacle; At the beauty of this tabernacle; Samuel would have preferred to stay near; In this tabernacle sanctuary; Really truly many days have I tried; Four months I tried to write this down; I lacked skill in description of this heavenly golden tabernacle; Detailed decorations mounted; Spiritual arts crafts; Resembles purity in Gold; Rims of pure silver joined; Majesty beyond my words; Mystical beyond my understandings; Celestial beyond my comprehension; Sight of this tabernacle is my spiritual privilege; Seeing this tabernacle brings me spiritual gluteny; The presence of this tabernacle is a testament of spiritual wealth; to the sacred vision, I am unworthy of; Un quenchable feast for My poverty filled heart; When I look at this heavenly gateway; I say, My Lord and My God! I send my thoughts in adoration My being melts in the Church’s majesty As I have no words to describe the majesty of this heavenly sanctuary Let me join the proclamation from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses Let me join the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church In synchrony of one voice – and I declare God is good All the time! All the Time, God is good! This place is nothing but The gateway to Heaven!
Unending feast to the soul and natural body senses continues; In the spiritual feast of this heavenly gateway rededication; I kneel to pray, my heart says nothing but just thank you Lord; Many are the troubles to pray for; But my soul settles in Thanksgiving; Many are the needs to intercede; But my mind rested in peaceful thanksgiving; Many are the decisions to be brought to the sanctuary; In clarification in this moment; But my lips were satisfied just in saying thanks; There was peace which filled in radiance with lights; There was joy which filled in majesty in the sanctuary; There was celebration which filled the air and heart of the faithful; There was mystical heavenly presence filled the pews; And around the altar joining faithful in singing Glory to God in the Highest; I join the Choir, faithful, priests, Bishop, and the altar servers; In singing angels choir Glory to God in the Highest! How would I describe the heavenly presence I witnessed? How would I describe the living natural heavenly gateway? Through angels in heaven ascend and descend to glorify God; Where faithful adored God in singing with angels the angels choir; Glory to God in the Highest! As I was dwelling in the solemnity of the rededication; I remember the St. Louis Catholic school children; If I say little children made this heavenly day possible; It will not be an over statement. Tiny tots send out their care in keeping in prayers for the workers; And keeping the workers by their motivational words and offerings of eatables; As I recollect, this very act of this school children became my inspiration; Which, I recollect upon many days; I remembered each of those children; In a special way in my prayerful heart As I also remembered the days of my baby boy Joel’s; School days in this outstanding school; In that auspicious moment of prayer; In my motherly tender heart I prayed; And I thanked God for these little children; Children in the church can move the mountains; St. Louis Catholic School children love; Helped to erect God’s sanctuary; As I have no words to describe the majesty of this heavenly sanctuary; Let me join the proclamation from the shepherd of Memphis Dioceses; Let me join the faithful of St. Louis Catholic Church; In synchrony of one voice – and I declare God is good; All the time!
