Apparitions of the Mother of God is a known faith phenomenon throughout the world. Our Lady's apparitions bring blessings, hope, healing, and miracles to the humanity locally and globally. There are multitudes of apparitions happening throughout the world continuously, among them some are considered as private revelations that may need authentication and many are authenticated by the Church and approved. Once it is approved by the church, the apparition place becomes a place of worship and pilgrimage to the faithful. The apparitions of Mary bring many conversion and blessings known and unknown to the world. Most importantly, it brings hope to the people.

Mary's apparitions occur beyond any particular geography, race, ethnicity, and even religion for that matter. Many times the visionaries( who receive the apparition) belong to other religions. For example, in India at Velankanni two of the three apparitions were seen by Hindu children. Frequently, Mary's apparitions involve innocent children as in Velankanni and Fatima, which is significantly noteworthy. This is a special phenomenon of faith and gift from heaven.

Our Lady of Velankanni Church at Velankanni, which is located in Tamilnadu, India stands as a magnificent testament to the blessings of Our Lady through her apparitions, which happened about half a century ago, during the Portuguese reign in this area of India. Our Lady of Velankanni shrine is visited by faithful who belong to various religions in thousands every day. They come with faith, hope, and prayers. They return with blessings. I have been witness to many personal and spiritual blessings  that come from this shrine.
