Ninth Station: Jesus Third Fall under the Cross: I rise in inheritance of Father’s house

Psalm 51 “Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.” Father, we pray and meditate your beloved Son Jesus Christ's passions, through which you redeemed the world. We stand with the crowd who insulted Him with their words and actions. We participated with the people who offered Him to carry the cross. We identify our sins with your Son's cross. We refuse to remember the goodness and miracles we received from you in times of troubles and tribulations. We fail to carry our own crosses and follow you in this life, instead we have increased crosses for others by our words and actions. It is our sins and weakness caused Jesus to die in the cross. We unit our prayer, with Immaculate Heart of Mary, who accompanied her Son's way of the cross. We offer Jesus Christ's sufferings in taking upon the humiliating heavy cross and His pains and embarrassments inflicted by the human judgment and the suffe

Prayer for Mercy and forgiveness

{Father, We pray for your divine mercy to be upon us and on the world. Save us by thy love, mercy and grace, for we know we have sinned and we all fell short of your glory. We refuse to see yourself and your presence in the suffering Christs all around us and quickly pass judgment on them. We find short comings in the family and friends and avoid them or ignore them. Prayer for protection

Psalm 91 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. a ]">[ a ] 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will com

Mass Readings First reading Isaiah 58/1-9 Thus says the Lord: Shout for all you are worth, raise your voice like a trumpet. Proclaim their faults to my people, their sins to the House of Jacob. They seek me day after day, they long to know my ways, like a nation that wants to act with integrity and not ignore the law of its God. They ask me for laws that are just, they long for God to draw near: ‘Why should we fast if you never see it, why do penance if you never notice?’ Look, you do business on your fast-days, you oppress all your workmen; look, you quarrel and squabble when you fast and strike the poor man with your fist. Fasting like yours today will never make your voice heard on high. Is that the sort of fast that pleases me, a truly penitential day for men? Hanging your head like a reed, lying down on sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call fasting, a day acceptable to the Lord? Is not this the sort of fast that pleases me –

Mass Reading & Liturgy: Thursday March 10th

Mass Readings First reading Deuteronomy 30:15-20 © Moses said to the people: ‘See, today I set before you life and prosperity, death and disaster. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I enjoin on you today, if you love the Lord your God and follow his ways, if you keep his commandments, his laws, his customs, you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to make your own. But if your heart strays, if you refuse to listen, if you let yourself be drawn into worshipping other gods and serving them, I tell you today, you will most certainly perish; you will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today: I set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live, in the love of the Lord your God, obeying his voice, clinging to him; for in this your life consists, and on th

Introduction O God, come to my aid. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Hymn The fast, as taught by holy lore, We keep in solemn course once more: The fast to all men known, and bound In forty days of yearly round. More sparing therefore let us make The words we speak, the food we take, Our sleep and pleasure. Closer barred Be every sense in holy guard. Avoid the evil thoughts that roll Like waters o’er the heedless soul; Nor let the foe occasion find Our souls in slavery to bind. Thy grace have we offended sore, By sins, O God, which we deplore; But pour upon us from on high, O pardoning One, thy clemency. Remember thou, though frail we be, That yet thine handiwork are we; Nor let the honor of thy name Be by another put to shame. Forgive the sin that we have wrought; Increase the good that we have sought; That we at

Hymn O light of light, O Dayspring bright, Co-equal in thy Father’s light: Assist us, as with prayer and psalm Thy servants break the nightly calm. All darkness from our minds dispel, And turn to flight the hosts of hell: Bid sleepfulness our eyelids fly, Lest overwhelmed in sloth we lie.
