Mother Teresa works and deeds were the reflection of divine compassion. The meaning of compassion is  a   feeling   of   deep   sympathy   and   sorrow   for   another  who   is   stricken   by   misfortune,   accompanied   by   a  strong   desire   to   alleviate   the   suffering ( http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/compassion). Compassion can originate from human spirit and it may be augmented by the divine grace. Majority of the people in the world who help the poor or perform charitable works may operate from this status of compassion with or without acknowledging the divine assistance. But very few people carry out the charitable deeds with divine compassion.  Blessed Mother Teresa is one of them, who served people with divine compassion, conviction, and commitment.  In all the status of charitable deeds, the source of charity begins from God and it is accomplished by human. Mother was an extraordinary humanitarian, who showed us how to love the suffering human through the love of God. She was gentle in spirit, courageous at heart, determinant in faith, and persistent in deeds of charity. The root cause of her humanitarian works was for and by the love of God. It was her conviction that we serve God by serving suffering human. I see a similarity in Mother's statement about serving the leper for the love of God with St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis of Assisi embraced a leper to experience the love of God. His deliberate and radical action of embracing the leper with the conviction of the love of God, revealed, Jesus visit to him in the disguise of poor leper. St. Francis lived a life of Gospel through his actions, which were deliberate, courageous, and based on the love of God. Like St. Francis of Assisi, Mother was embracing the poor, suffering people, dying, and orphans with the deliberate conviction of actions based on the love of God. Hum

Thembavani From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Thembavani  ( தேம்பாவணி  in  Tamil ) [1] [2]  (The Unfading Garland), one of the  Tamil  classics, a poetical work of Veeramamunivar  ( Constanzo Beschi ), on the life of  St.Joseph , earthly father of Jesus Christ. This Tamil  Divina Commedia is divided into thirty-six cantos, containing 3,615 stanzas. "It is," says Baumgartner, "the noblest epic poem in honor of St. Joseph written in any literature, East or West". It begins with the birth of Joseph (வளன், சூசை)and ends with his "coronation" by the Triune God in heavenly glory. Thembavani has more than 100 references to events and teachings in the Bible.
