 Dawn of this century began with somuch expectations,anticipations, and predictions among the historians and philosophers of all known human intelligence. Mother Church along with the world got ready for a new season and new spring. However, the world history has taken an unexpected, unforseen, drastic turn,when terrorism took over the guts of the world and challenged all the humanisms and human goodness in the world, which is a growing challenge of this century. Century after century, the world has faced various philosophies and their imposed challenges and influential results on the humanity. Infact, if we analyze with fair mind, all the happenings in the current world have foundations in past centuries human philosophies, policies, decisions, and actions. One among those results,  21st century is undergoing a cosmic challenge to combat terrorism and the end results of human crafted divisive tactics. There is confusion everywhere in the world. There is struggle for power, money

Twentieth century also marks the century of sainthood. Many Catholic saints were elevated to the sainthood status in this century. Among them, I admire the heroic vertues of Padre PIO. I consider him as the greatest saint of 20th century. He was mystical, contemplative, yet action oriented. His role model highlights the modern day christian call. A call of life bearning Christs wounds to console the wounded world. His life portrays the perfect obedience to the call of life with unrelenting simplicity and humbleness. His sainthood revere his stigmata Christ's call and highlights his human obedience. I love his thirst for the souls as Jesus Himself instilled His thirst in His servant soul. I admire his hard work in confession counseling souls, where he exercised his priesthood annointing to the fullest among those who came near him. Even today, he is so relatable, personnable for those who go for his intercession. He has left his signature in the world through his spiritual life.

The history of 20th century highlights many human acheivements in terms of science, technology, inventions, and discoveries. However, this century also was haunted by two world wars and intense restlessness of the world. The world needed peace more than air and water. Mother Church is the presence of faith in this world. She is the living testament of faith among the people in the world. Church by her presence in the world declares the presence of God among men, proclaims salvation for the world, as she is the living redemptive body of Christ, and she is the resurrected body of Christ in the world. Mother Church is the baptised body of Christ, channel of baptism for the world, as she is the bride of resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, and she is a living vessel of Holy Spirit in the world and for universe. As Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit, Mother Church is born of the Holy Spirit by the saving blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, Mother Church is Holy because she is saved by the baptism of Jesus saving blood and born of the Holy Spirit. In baptism the Church enters into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Year of faith is approaching us imminently. Immense and numerous initiatives of faith filled activities are being planned by the Church and the faithful in the church. New evangelization is underway in soul renewing journey. Mother Church along with her children on earth celebrate the faith on earth and in the universe. It is an exciting time of the world for the spiritual observers. Renewal of the world, nations, communities, families, and individual soul is happening in a tangible manner by the will of God, by the action of Holy Spirit, by the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, by the model of protecting holy intercession of Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph,  through the pontificate of Holy Father Benedict the XVI. There is a renewal spirit in the air and in the church dialogues and activities. I have known many renewal moments in the church, as I am approaching my half century of life, and I have admired the evangelizing spirit of Holy Father John Paul II and Holy Father Bene

There are many physical merits and gifts of the Mother church on earth, some of them are  attributable to shrines and the prayers elevated from the shrines. Thousands of shrines are dedicated in holy Catholic church where pilgrims gather to pray and their prayers are as constant incense rises above towards the heaven round the clock all around the world. When one part of the world is at rest the opposite part of the world is awake, thus there is constant and eternal prayers on earth. Holy Angels ascend to heaven and descend on earth constantly without cease serving holy Catholic Church every moment. There is eternal adoration in action from earth to the Holy Trinity through presence of the Holy Church on earth. I love to travel and make pilgrims to shrines and churches. Last break, I visited Most Blessed Sacrament Shrine at Hansville Alabama for second time within this year. First time I visited this shrine in the first week of June. Mother church is the symbol and the structure of faith in the world. It is both mystical and physical body of Christ. Christ is the head of the Church and Church is the bride of Christ the Son of God the second person of the Holy Trinity. As human body lives by the breath the Church lives by the breath of God the Holy Spirit the third person of the Holy Trinity. Heavenly Father sacrificed His only begotten son to redeem the world to love the world. It is through His love the relationship between God and men were re established through the new creation of the new world, which is mother Church. Mother Church is the redemptive humanity of the world a new Jerusalaem, new Israel, and new humanity which lives in the presence of Holy Trinity. Thus mother Church is holy. Mother Church is holy because it contains the holy body of Christ and the communion of saints, which lives in the holy presence of holy Trinity in the world.
