I am overwhelmed by Holy Father's immense teaching actions of faith and role model, which I am unworthy to write. He has made a profound historical statement of faith through His action and decision and has become a role model of love, peace, prayer, simplicity, wisdom, discernment, courage, gentleness, and faith. I am struck with awe of Holy Spirit's action, which is so real in this world of our times, and our Holy Father is so courageous to yield and trust God and God alone and entrusting us to the will of the Holy Spirit. His role model is so essential, so vital, even it may be a divine intervention, to the controlling world of today, where from individuals to the world, human flesh is in dominance of control on one side,  Where man has no respect or place for God and faith. Another side, humanity is becoming slave to the technology to the extreme that basic human attributes, intellect, will, discernment, and human faculties are diminishing or loosing their importance

Looking up to Jesus's sufferings: Garden of Gethsemane

Looking up to Jesus's sufferings in our life situations means to participate in His prayer and seeking God's will into the suffering. In any situation in human life, choices are many. One can choose to pray or not to pray. One can choose faith not following faith. One can seek divine guidance or decide to apply the human reason alone. One can choose relationships and fellowship in love or stay aloof in the hands of un- forgiveness. One could choose to undergo suffering with Lord or choose to go on the worldly choices of compensation and compromises. All the above and all the millions of options placed in front of us where is our choice? What do we choose? How do we react to the situations is our choice, while God's presence is waiting and watching always with His mercy and grace. Looking up to Jesus in suffering means looking up to Jesus choice and decision in His suffering. Jesus chose God's will placing His choices in God's hands. He was sincere in His praying

Looking up to Jesus's sufferings: Garden of Gethsemane

Human sufferings have millions of origins. Majority of them are caused by bad choices and decisions of human, society, and world inflicting suffering to oneself, family, community, and to the world respectively. While nothing escapes God's will, few of them have roots in the heavenly intervention will as well. Individual sufferings have rippling effect on the family, community, society, and to the world. Irrespective of origins of sufferings, in the time of sufferings, God's presence and Holy Angels services surrounds the human, sheltering humanity with mercy and grace. In this world of Garden of Gethsemane, God's presence and human fellowship are present in the form of Mother Church. Mother Church has two charisma as Her bridegroom Jesus. As Jesus was God and man, Mother Church contains divinity and humanity. The prayers and sacrifices of  Mother Church with her children, goes beyond the salvation of Catholic Church. She is the Apostle for the entire world and creations

Matthew 26:36-46 New International Version (NIV) Gethsemane "36  Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them,  “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”   37  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee  along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.   38  Then he said to them,  “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow  to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39  Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed,  “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup  be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” 40  Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.  “ Couldn't you men keep watch with me  for one hour?”  he asked Peter.   41  “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.  The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42  He went away a second time and prayed,  “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I dr

Year of Faith: Lent 2013

http://www.osv.com/OSV4MeNav/ChurchSeasons/ACatholicLent/PopeBenedictXVILentenMessage2012/tabid/8546/Default.aspx "Message of His Holiness Benedict XVI for Lent 2013 "Believing in charity calls forth charity" “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us” (1 Jn 4:16) Dear Brothers and Sisters, The celebration of Lent, in the context of the Year of Faith, offers us a valuable opportunity to meditate on the relationship between faith and charity: between believing in God – the God of Jesus Christ – and love, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and which guides us on the path of devotion to God and others. 1. Faith as a response to the love of God In my first Encyclical, I offered some thoughts on the close relationship between the theological virtues of faith and charity. Setting out from Saint John’s fundamental assertion: “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us” (1 Jn 4:16), I observed that “being Christi

Prayer In The Year Of Faith Pope Benedict XVI has stated that the Year of Faith is to be a worldwide moment of prayer. One way to fulfill this request is the promotion of the  World Mission Rosary . . .  that was conceived in 1951 by the Servant of God, Archbishop Fulton Sheen. The World Mission Rosary unites people of the world in a spiritual communion and as Bishop Sheen said, the one who prays it will “embrace all continents, all people in prayer.” Pope Benedict Asks the Faithful to "Cherish the Cherish the Rosary during the Year of Faith Before praying the Angelus on Octctober 7, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI recalled that the traditional annual "supplication", in which thousands of faithful around the world participate, is taking place today at the Italian shrine of Pompei, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. "As we too spiritually unite ourselves to that choral invocation, I would like to invite everyone to cherish the Rosary during the forth
