Seventh Station: Second fall of Jesus

Psalm 51
“12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.”

Father, we pray and meditate your beloved Son Jesus Christ's passions, through which you redeemed the world. We stand with the crowd who insulted Him with their words and actions. We participated with the people who offered Him to carry the cross. We identify our sins with your Son's cross. We refuse to remember the goodness and miracles we received from you in times of troubles and tribulations. We fail to carry our own crosses and follow you in this life, instead we have increased crosses for others by our words and actions.It is our sins and weakness caused Jesus to die in the cross. We unit our prayer, with Immaculate Heart of Mary, who accompanied her Son's way of the cross. We offer Jesus Christ's sufferings in taking upon the humiliating heavy cross and His pains and embarrassments inflicted by the human judgment and the sufferings of immaculate heart of Mary in atonement of our sins. Have mercy on us Lord!

Why have you abandoned yourself Lord?
Why have you abandoned yourself?
Why did you ignore your divinity?
Who am I to be worthy of such a love?
I see you carry my cross on your shoulder
I see you carry me in your heart
I hear you cry Lord why have you abandoned me?

If it is thy will
If this situation brings you Glory
If this event is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation willingly

What can a defeat do to me?
When I wash your feet with my tears
What can a shame do to me?
When my sigh becomes a constant prayer in your sanctuary

I see you carry my cross on your shoulder
I see you carry me in your heart
I hear you cry Lord why have you abandoned me?
If it is thy will
If this brings you Glory
If this is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation

What confusion can do to me?
When I search your will
What loneliness can do to me?
When I seek your love
What a constant need can do to me?
When your constant presence shepherded me
What a stumbling fall can do to me?
When your unfailing mercy surrounds me

I see you carry my cross on your shoulder
I see you carry me in your heart
I hear you cry Lord why have you abandoned me?
If it is thy will
If this brings you Glory
If this is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation

Because the clouds are dark
It does not mean the absence of sun
Because the present path seem dark
It does not mean the absence of your light

If this brings you Glory
If this is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation


Because the journey seems long
It does not mean the absence of way
Because the answer is delayed
It does not mean that you have not heard me
Because my eyes have not seen the results
It does not mean that the prayer is not granted

I hear you cry Lord why have you abandoned me?
If it is thy will
If this brings you Glory
If this is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation

Just because the expected goodness delayed
How will I forget the past blessings?
Just because the present time is disappointing
How will I forget the mercy filled past?

I see you carry my cross on your shoulder
I see you carry me in your heart
I hear you cry Lord why have you abandoned me?
If it is thy will
If this brings you Glory
If this is thy loving gift
I will undergo this situation

This life, this being, and this world
Everything I know and love
Came to me as your gift
Waiting for your will
I will rise and journey this present moment
Setting my eyes upon you
Reflecting the past goodness
Proclaiming your power
Praising your counsel
Praying for your mercy
