The above verse came from Jesus in the midst of suffering as a cry to the Heavenly Father, who is Fully human and fully God in nature, the Son of God and Son of man, the new creation and the creator at the same time, cries to the Father saying,"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" This verse reveals the human side of the suffering and the prayer for assistance of divine intervention during suffering. Many people argue, why Father abandoned Jesus at the cross? St. John the Apostle wrote in his Gospel about the extend of God's love for humanity was demonstrated in rejection of His own begotten Son at the Cross. I believe, at the cross, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit all three in union were involved in new creation of salvation. Holy Trinity participated in Crucifixion as one person with Jesus Christ.
