Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation:Genesis
Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation:"
The spoken Word of God is " Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation:"
This is the command the earth received directly from God. Following that command earth produces vegetation and fills it self. Earth is a living organism. It is not idle in any given time. It holds the oceans, seas, springs, falls, rivers, and all its life-giving living water systems within its womb. It contains the exploding volcanoes and its molten rocks within its bowels. It houses the strong mountains, deep valleys, trenches, plains and fields. It produces all the vegetation; the living organisms of all kinds. It habitats all the visible and invisible living creatures both in land, seas, and sky. It maintains the sky and atmosphere, we live and breath in. Earth is a living organism.
Earth is very unique in every nature. There is none similar to our earth in the known space to the human science to-date.
Earth is a great gift from God for our existence. It provides, protects, and contains known and unknown resources within it to supply to the needs of times until the end of the world. There are millions of resources and useful forces to be discovered and invented within and through the earth for the humanity and for all creations it holds in. It is a mystery. The mystery originated from the Word of God and His command.
Earth has vested authority by God from the command of God to exist and produce. By this authority, it functions and adopts to the nature around it.When I reflect all these, I am pushed to the edge of amazement, awe and wonder and say, "Oh Lord My God!"
I also think about the ways in which we treat and exploit the earth. Most of all, how much we take it for granted. I thank God for all the foresters, farmers, scientists, conservationists, geologists, laws of the lands that promote and protect the earth.
Let us preserve and protect the gifts of God in earth. Then we will be the stewards of the gifts of God. That will result in yielding more gifts from God, as it is depicted in talents parable. The more we preserve and promote, the more we will be given and entrusted.
Though a sense of hopelessness prevails about the condition of our earth and many believe that it is too late, I believe God is in control. Nothing is too late in God's calendar. I also believe that God has endowed and equipped human to be the stewards of the earth. From that endowment and vested authority, in God's appointed time, human discoveries, inventions, and science will lend hand in restoration of earth in collaboration with faith and nature. Human in faith, human in action, human in restoration, human in partnership with God and nature can restore, sustain, why not, he can flourish the nature. We human have great vested authority and responsibility given by God, which we will discuss in detail on another chapter. On that note, we can do something today to save the earth.
I consider the thermo -geological cycles of nature. There are many times even without fossil fuels the earth has faced warming and cooling situations. Having said that, responsible use of industries and technology is essential to maintain the earth. Being responsible stewards means, while adopting progressive growth and development, accommodating, adopting, and promoting nature would help and it is the call of our times. Let human essentials prevail over the human greed.
I believe in God's infinite wisdom, creation, and in His power. God is in control all the time. God knew when He created us, what we will be doing in future. Knowing our nature, He kept the secrets of discoveries and inventions hidden within the nature, which are to be discovered, uncovered, and invented depending upon the times. All the discoveries, inventions, explorations, and technology we have thus far are the witnesses to this notion. There are multitudes of discoveries and inventions waiting to happen as the needs of times arrive. I,also, believe that human can discover, uncover, and invent many things, but human in all his might cannot create another earth from nothing, why not, even using all the precursors from the earth and knowing the functional systems and its secrets from the earth, human cannot create another earth.
