Shepherds in the night watch
Shadow the lambs
Shelter under the sky
Starry sky above
Singing shepherds' songs
The folk song of the land

They saw the wonder star
High above the sky
The talk of the town
Among all the people about the wonder
The king has ordered the scholars
To study the wonder star
The word in the town spread as a fire
Shepherds watch the star
They wonder among themselves


Camping near the herds
Camp around the fire
Keeping them warm
Watching the travelers
From every where
Reaching Judea towns
In the king's order

They heard the word
They are in the move
As they travel to their land
On the way in the journey
They hear the Angels choir
Singing the good news to come

Shepherds on Journey
The journey to see the heavenly king
Angels on journey
With the shepherds on journey
As they journey with all the people
Who journey to see the king
The child who is given unto us
Emmanuel God is with us.
