Shepherds on the Way to Bethlehem

We are the shepherds
The shepherds of Bethlehem
We are the Shepherds
Who saw the Angels from Heaven
We are the shepherds
Who saw the Baby Jesus at the Manger.

We walked towards Bethlehem
With a joyful dream
Of seeing God the Son, The Baby Jesus!
We went on a pilgrimage
To the manger of Bethlehem

We marched to Bethlehem
With cattle and sheep
With good news in our heart
Our eves gave babies on the way
Our cattle gave birth on the way
We tended them as we journeyed
To see the Baby king.

The thought of the baby
Humbled our hearts
The vision of the Baby
Tendered our hearts
The reflection of the  Good news
Elevated us beyond our simple status
We were chosen, we were chosen
To speak the good news of Baby king, the savior
The thought of this heavenly love
Made us jump through the hills and valleys
Journeying to Bethlehem.

We forgot our cares and worries
We forgo our routines
At the proclamation of Good news
We derailed from our routines
To position our journey to Bethlehem
We abandoned the roads to our homes
We took the roads to Bethlehem
To see the baby king

The king of king is born
The savior has come to us
The heaven settled on earth in Bethlehem
We received the good news
To proclaim to the world

We are the shepherds
To whom God send His angels
To invite to the salvation
The invitation to see Baby king
What did we do to deserve
This great call?
Simple shepherd heart and mind
We have, how useful it may be for the
Great purpose of salvation?
We discussed, talked, and reflected upon the greatness
of the heavenly king's invitation
For us to see Him.

At this great call,
Our hearts were lifted to heaven
Our beings were captured by great purpose
Our love became significant in the eyes of God
Our lives became sacred by the call of God
Now one thing we were after
Just to see Baby Jesus
That all our lives would carry the great majesty
Through this call of good news
All generations would remember us that
We were invited at our lowly status
To see the heavenly king
Let God be praised
We praised God in songs
As we journeyed with our cattle and sheep
