A walk with Jesus

"A walk with Jesus" a walk for pro life with Jesus on the sidewalk of white station and popular roads was organized by St. Louis Catholic Church on Pro life Sunday was a spiritual experience. Faithful gathered in front of Culunnan center , which is the northern annex of the church at 1.30pm. Rev. Monsignor. McArthur precided the procession carrying the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the Monstrance and Rev. Fr. Shaji joined him in the procession leading the people. People walked in line following the Blessed Sacrament praying Rosary and divine mercy, singing songs, and in quiet prayers. Although I have years experience of standing for life on pro life Sunday, this particular event is very special. I had looked forward for that procession because it is the first time of my ten years residence in USA, I get to participate in a Blessed Sacrament procession.Devoted men and women of that church had arranged the procession details including spreading rose petals on the ways of the procession.

The nature also joined the procession from the side lawns purple blooms, fruit laden lemon tree, tall green canopies of trees, gentle fall breeze, cool weather, singing birds and the nature was so beautiful and it was a beautiful day it welcomed Jesus in procession.

Monsignor McArthur and Fr. Shaji took turns to carry the blessed Sacrament. There were many children, youth, elderly and even devotees came in their wheel chair. The whole scene made me to reflect and ponder the roads of Galilee and mount of olives, seashores of Capernium and streets of Jerusalem, where people walked with Jesus, when He lived as a human in this world, where preached and healed the sick.Yesterday He walked through white Station and Popular roads to visit and heal the people body, mind, and Spirit.

It was totally a different experience when we stood in defense for life with Jesus in Blessed Sacrament, which brought the reality of His Omnipresence to the natural realm of our day and time. A natural sense of security and peace was present among the devotees in His proximal presence.

St. Louis Catholic Church has perpetual adoration chapel where people pray 24 hours seven days a week. I attend weekly mass, confession, and Eucharistic adoration when I can in this church. This church and the adoration chapel are part of my daily routine.I thank God for this church and the Pastor Monsg. Mc Arthur.
