Peace be with you: Peace in living in the presence of God

Peace in living in the presence of God

There is peace in the presence of God. Living in the presence of God brings peace to oneself that has the power to disseminate into the environment of that individual. Peace is a most beautiful feeling of human and it is a gift from God. Jesus Christ said that he came to give peace, the peace that is not from the world but from heaven, that cannot be removed by anything or anybody. Peace is an experience that one can live and radiate to others. Peace emerges from a heart that has experienced God’s presence in life. Worldly peace can be explained as things are going well with out wars, famines, calamities, confusions, deprivations etc…… However, the peace of God can surpass all the worldly trials, which can be experienced even in the midst of worldly struggles and sufferings. The soul, which is in tune with God, will find solace and peace even in the worst conditions of earthly life. Peace is a sign of God’s presence. Peace is His promise for this life. Peace is His divine assurance. Peace is the sign of God’s will and plan.

Saints have shown the model of life which has been illuminated with God's presence and peace. Living in God's presence means that a human subjects himself voluntarily to the will of God, while he lives in this earth. One who lives with the strength derived from the presence of the Lord gives glory to God in all his achievements, and considers, acknowledges, prays, and surrenders his own weaknesses to God as an opportunity for the demonstration of God's mercy and strength in his life. In this state of mind or attitude, glory and defeat in the life have the same value for the saints because both bring forth God's glory.

Living in God's presence is an extension of heavenly and church experiences into the day- today life situations. This is a deliberate action where the man invites heavenly Father's presence into his day today activities. This is an extension of heavenly experience on earth. Many of us display our family photos in our office, or carry the photos in the phones or purse, which provides an extension of the family presence from home to office or wherever we go. In the same way, a human who lives in the presence of the God tries to depict heavenly Father's presence in his decisions and activities. During our daily conversations, consciously and unconsciously, we tend to talk about the people we love and care. In the same way, a man who lives in the presence of God will reflect God's mercy and grace in his conversations and in his actions.

Living in the presence of God brings peace to oneself and to others, as the peace ripples through out the world from an individual. Peace has a contagious quality, which flows from the individuals, permeates, and captures the surroundings. Individual peace radiates, reflects, and relates through the individual life decisions and choices and it echoes to the world.
