Looking up to Jesus's sufferings: Garden of Gethsemane

Looking up to Jesus's sufferings in our life situations means to participate in His prayer and seeking God's will into the suffering. In any situation in human life, choices are many. One can choose to pray or not to pray. One can choose faith not following faith. One can seek divine guidance or decide to apply the human reason alone. One can choose relationships and fellowship in love or stay aloof in the hands of un- forgiveness.
One could choose to undergo suffering with Lord or choose to go on the worldly choices of compensation and compromises. All the above and all the millions of options placed in front of us where is our choice? What do we choose? How do we react to the situations is our choice, while God's presence is waiting and watching always with His mercy and grace.

Looking up to Jesus in suffering means looking up to Jesus choice and decision in His suffering. Jesus chose God's will placing His choices in God's hands. He was sincere in His praying when He said if it is possible the cup may be removed from Him, which reflects Jesus Choice. Jesus went in discernment in prayer during trouble. He is our role model in discernment. Let us choose God joining Mother Church in prayers of discernment for our choices.

There are many situations in our life, despite of worldly choices, when we choose to follow God's way, there are many sufferings comes from those choices. But we are not left without consolation. The divine master, who sees the heart is faithful always in timely remedy. Sometimes in discernment, suffering is an indicator of God's presence in the midst of situation. When human faculties fail, in surrender, the discerning soul is a sign of god's presence and intervention. When decisions are made which is not anticipated of an individual, or not an usual reaction of an individual, that may be a sure sign of presence of Holy Spirit in the discernment.

Hope in the time of suffering is a sign of consolation. Mother Church has been a suffering body of Christ looking up to Jesus all the time. Majority of her suffering comes from her faithful witness to our Lord Jesus Christ  which calls for non conformity to the world standards, for which she is called. Enemy tremble in her presence and prayers. Her sufferings are indication of God's presence in the midst of her. She has crossed many valleys and mountains. She has seen many trials and temptations, she has lived through impossible situations looking up to Jesus. Her protection comes directly from her bridegroom Jesus Christ and Her Children's prayers. Individual prayers have rippling effect on individual, families, community, nation, and world.

Prayer is the way to looking up to Jesus.
