Jesus words on the Cross: Jesus Christ Died On the Cross: "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!"
Jesus Christ Died On the Cross:
"Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!"
32 Two others also, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.
33 And when they came to the place, which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left.
34 And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." And they cast lots to divide his garments.
35 And the people stood by, watching; but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!"
36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him vinegar,
37 and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!" 38 There was also an inscription over him, "This is the King of the Jews."
39 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
40 But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
42 And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
43 And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.
44 It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
45 while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
46 Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last.
47 Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, and said, "Certainly this man was innocent!"
48 And all the multitudes who assembled to see the sight, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts.
49 And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance and saw these things.”
Father, Father, My father,
In to thy hands, in to thy hands,
I command, I command,
My Spirit!
Source: St. John Gospel
1 On the third day there was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; 2 Jesus also was invited to the marriage, with his disciples.
3 When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."
4 And Jesus said to her, "O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come."5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
The mother of God,
Holding savior body tight to her chest,
Cried aloud in weeping tears,
Pondering and wondering on cannon wedding feast,
Approaching Son,
Saying they have no wine,
knowing the time has come,
Knowing the saving grace of Son,
Knowing the atonement of Son,
knowing the son as Son of God,
who kept all the things in her heart,
saying Son they have no wine,
Then she hear him saying,
My hour has not yet come,
The mother of God,
In faith in her Son,
who envisioned His mission,
who envisioned the beginning of atonement,
who told the disciples,
"Do whatever he tells you."
The mother of God,
Looked at her Son,
Looked up to heaven,
Grieved in heart, mind, soul, and spirit
Speechless with inconsolable grief
caressed son with tender motherly love embrace
Helpless to help but fearless to trust God
Prayed in silence saying
Amen, I am your servant
My soul magnifies the Lord!
The mother of God,
who kept all things in her heart,
when the relatives alluded,
that he is deluded,
she pondered and wondered in her heart,
and she said,
"Do whatever he tells you."
when the leaders said,
he is a blasphemer,
she pondered and wondered in her heart,
and She said,
"Do whatever he tells you."
When the people said,
He is possessed of evil,
she pondered and wondered in her heart,
and She said,
"Do whatever he tells you."
The mother of God,
Looked at her Son,
Looked up to heaven,
Grieved in heart, mind, soul, and spirit
Speechless with inconsolable grief
caressed son with tender motherly love embrace
Helpless to help but fearless to trust God
Prayed in silence saying
Amen, I am your servant
My soul magnifies the Lord!
The mother of God,
who kept all these things in her heart,
who now vision the realizing the hour,
who now see the son punctured body,
as wine in the press,
who is under the cross,
where the wedding feast of lamb began,
In him, through Him,
She streches her tender loving arms,
towards us,
saying to the creation and souls,
here is the salvation wine,
here is where your salvation is,
"Do whatever he tells you."
The mother of God,
Looked at her Son,
Looked up to heaven,
Grieved in heart, mind, soul, and spirit
Speechless with inconsolable grief
caressed son with tender motherly love embrace
Helpless to help but fearless to trust God
Prayed in silence saying
Amen, I am your servant
My soul magnifies the Lord!
Note: This station meditations contains the translated written concepts from my second book, published in 1993.
The mother of God,
Holding the savior near to her heart,
Holding the son of God in to her arms,
Holding the events of salvation in to accounts,
Holding not the reflectional tears to flow,
Holding not the humanly sorrowful river,
Holding contemplation in reflection
Gabriele's annunciation of the savior birth,
The Holy spirit will come upon,
The child to be born will be holy,
The child is the Son of God,
Now in the mother of God's arms,
Lies the Son of God body,
The mother of God,
Looked at her Son,
Looked up to heaven,
Grieved in heart, mind, soul, and spirit
Speechless with inconsolable grief
caressed son with tender motherly love embrace
Helpless to help but fearless to trust God
Prayed in silence saying
Amen, I am your servant
My soul magnifies the Lord!
